Classic Scarlet Red in pastel form! This super-bright red is a medium-firm pastel that creates vibrant color.
Our pastels are water-soluble and can be used for drawing or painting. This super versatile medium can be used in the following ways:
- Draw dry on paper
- Wet stick and draw wet on paper
- Wet paper and draw on it
- Draw then wet into washes
- Wet stick and use a brush to paint with the pigment
Swatches are done on Arches Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper. Cold/rough-pressed paper is recommended. Smooth paper can not rub off and hold much color.
